An Education for the “Whole Young Adult” in the Global 21st Century
Berkeley International High School (BIHS) is a small learning community (SLC) within Berkeley High School, focusing on holistic learning and building international mindedness for students in grades nine through twelve. The four-year interdisciplinary curriculum focus on cultures, history, artistic expression, and political, economic and belief systems. Students also carry out Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) experiences and projects and an extended essay research process so as to be college, career and life ready upon graduation.
10th Grade Guidance Presentation
Incoming Family Information Night – Wednesday, November 18
Berkeley High School’s Information Night for incoming 9th grade families is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16 from 7:00-8:00, in the BHS Community Theater. The event will start promptly at 7 p.m. While we welcome everyone, the evening will be of particular interest to those who are new to the Berkeley Unified School District. This event is an introduction to the school and in the past has featured a panel of current students, one of the College Advisors, and a Q and A with the Principal.
Berkeley High School’s ”Touring Season” for prospective students runs from October to March. The tours last a little over an hour. Tours are in the morning and by reservation only.
